About Npower Volunteers Network

Here are all you need to know about us.

In 2016, the federal government of Nigeria introduced the N-power programme as a social investment programme.

It was said to employ 300,000 applicants, train them and deploy them to their various areas of primary assignment.

It was due to unemployment among Nigerian youths and lack of Skills and knowledge which are the driving forces of economic growth and social development that prompts the FG to institute the programme.

N-power is set to develop the skills of 300,000 unemployed graduates and undergraduates in the areas of teaching, health, agriculture, knowledge and other categories.

The most important thing is that those deployed will be paid a monthly stipend for the number of years in which the programme is going to stay.

Now, what is NPVN?

It simply means N-power Volunteers Network. It comprises of those who were selected from the list of those that applied for npower programme.

There are different stages of selection. The first stage is the application stage, at the end of the application stage, all those who met with the requirements will be selected for an online test.

After the online test, those who passed will be shortlisted for physical verification before the final selection list will be released. Those whose name appears in the final selection list will be deployed to their different place of primary assignment.

They will now be addressed as volunteers. (Npower Volunteers Network) or corps.

The aim is for them to also help in actualising Nigeria’s economic and strategic aspirations of achieving food security and self-sufficiency.
